2012 Kiteboard 4 Cancer: July 13-15, 2012

North America’s largest amateur kiteboarding event will once again draw kiters from around the globe for a cause that touches all of us.

Fundraise for Entry: Athletes interested in full athlete benefits must raise a minimum of $500 by July 10th. See fundraising levels & prizes, the cool package you get as a fundraiser, and create your page here.

Friday, July 13th

Athlete & Community Waterfront Dinner

Hood River Event Site, 5:30-7:30 pm: An annual tradition, the kickoff dinner for our valued volunteers, athletes, and sponsors is an incredible spread of good food, good drinks, amazing desserts and a preview of the silent and live auction items. FREE for KB4C participants with tickets, $12 for the public.

KB4C Kickoff Party

British Pub, 4th & Oak, 8:30 pm: Who doesn’t love people fire dancers and hula hoopers hooping to live music?? We take over the corner of 4th & Oak at the British Pub parking lot for this unique and very entertaining event! Donations accepted at the entry. All proceeds benefit Athletes for Cancer.

Kite Derby Endurance Race

7:30-9:45 am: Registration
9:30 am: Silent Auction opens
10:00 Kite Derby Rider’s Meeting
10:15 Riders launch
10:30 Kite Derby Endurance Race Start
11:30 Live music act 1
12 noon: Full Sail Brewing Beer Garden opens
12-2 pm: Athlete lunch served in athlete lounge
1:30 pm: Live music act 2
3:30 pm: Live music act 3
4:30 pm: Kite Derby Endurance Race, scheduled finish
4:30-5:30 pm: Athlete 6-Hour Club Lunch served in athlete lounge
5:00 pm: Live Auction
6:00 pm: Awards

KB4C VIP Party @ the Ruins, Springhouse Cellar

The Ruins @ Springhouse Cellars, Downtown Hood River, 8:30 pm: Apps, dessert, beverages, live music. Athletes who fundraise a minimum of $500 get in for free. General public: $10 admission.
